(Switzerland County, Ind.) - A box culvert replacement project will close down a portion of State Road 250 on or after Monday, April 6.
According to INDOT, the closure will take place just east of State Road 129 between Aaron Road and Township Line Road. State Road 250 is expected to reopen at this location in mid-May, weather permitting.
During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route, which follows S.R. 129 to S.R. 56.
As part of this contract, an additional closure will take place on S.R. 250 following this project. INDOT will provide additional information and updates via alerts.indot.in.gov, Facebook, and X at a later date.
This project is part of a contract awarded to Morphey Construction in November 2025. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
