Local Schools, Olympian to Participate in Reds Opening Day Parade

Opening Day is Thursday, March 27.

CINCINNATI - Thursday is a holiday in the Greater Cincinnati area. 

March 27 marks Opening Day in Cincinnati as the Reds prepare to welcome in the San Francisco Giants for a three-game series.

Before Hunter Greene takes the mound for the Reds, the Findlay Market Opening Day Parade will make its way through downtown Cincinnati.

Former Red Chris Sabo will serve as the Grand Marshal. Former NASCAR star Michael Waltrip is the Honorary Grand Marshal.

The Opening Day Parade will also feature an Olympic Float featuring Mason Parris, East Central High School Marching Trojans, East Central High School Dance Team, Jac-Cen-Del High School Band, and Crosby Elementary School. 

The 1.4-mile parade will start at noon at Findlay Market on Race Street and will continue down to 5th street, ending at Taft Theater.

First pitch of the Reds and Giants game is scheduled for 4:10 p.m.
