Local Girl Battling Leukemia For 3rd Time Has Dream To Swim With The Dolphins

Sunshine Corner Daycare and Preschools is spearheading the fundraising efforts.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Sunshine Corner Daycare and Preschool is asking the community to help a young girl's dream come true. 

Hailee is 13 years old and a Sunshine Corner alum. When she was 8, she was diagnosed with Leukemia. She has courageously battled the disease and defeated it twice. 

Unfortunately, Hailee had a second relapse on March 4^th and is now battling the disease a third time.

After learning of the news, Sunshine Corner decided to do everything they could to make Hailee's dream come true. That dream is to go to Hawaii and swim with the dolphins.

Donations can be made at any local Civista Bank under the account "Hailee’s Dream". A GoFundMe account has also been created. 

There are other ways the community can get involved in the fundraising efforts. Six different events have been planned throughout the spring:

• Little Caesars: (March 15 - March 29) - Order forms will be sent home with students and turned in to the center, and there will be a link for online orders. March 29 is the last day to turn in orders or place an online order.
• Flocking Flamingos: (March 29 - April 30) - Google Form will be posted on March 29 to purchase flocks to send to friends, family members, and neighbors. Flocking insurance will be available to purchase as well. 
• Hailee's Dream Shirts: (April 12 - May 1) - Hailee will be designing the front of the shirt with the help of Ohio Valley Screenprinting. Orders will be placed starting mid-April and will continue until May 1.
• Gold Star Chili: (TBD) - Gold Star Chili in Versailles will be holding a percentage night. The date is TBD. 
• Silent Auction (April 30 - June 4) - The silent auction will feature artwork created by the classes, gift baskets, and many other goodies. Bidding on items will begin April 30 and will continue for six weeks, ending June 4 at midnight. Winners will be announced June 5. 
• Spaghetti Dinner (May 21) - Spaghetti Dinner will be for take out only. Pre-orders for the dinners begin April 26 - May 10. The dinner will include spaghetti, meat sauce or plain red sauce, and garlic bread. Meal options will be announced when pre-orders begin. 

All donations and proceeds from the fundraisers will go directly to funding Hailee's Dream.
