Lightning Strike Causes Fire at Florence Apartment

No injuries were reported.

(Florence, Ky.) - Multiple northern Kentucky agencies received an early wake up call on Thursday. 

At approximately 4:00 a.m., Florence Fire were dispatched to the area of Rio Grande Circle for a structure fire that was reportedly caused by a lightning strike. 

Upon arrival, crews found a working fire in a multi-family structure. 

Crews were on scene for extensive period of time, the fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported.

Union Fire Protection District, Burlington Fire Protection District, Independence Fire Protection District, and Edgewood Fire Department assisted at the scene.
