(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Lawrenceburg High School is proud to recognize four graduating seniors who have earned the Indiana Certificate of Multilingual Proficiency, an honor awarded to students who demonstrate high levels of proficiency in English and at least one additional language.
The Indiana Certificate of Multilingual Proficiency is awarded by the Indiana Department of Education to students who meet rigorous academic and language achievement standards. The recognition highlightsthe value of multilingualism and prepares students for success in college, careers, and global citizenship.
The following Lawrenceburg High School graduates earned the distinction for the Class of 2026:
- June Llorente Quislant - Spanish
- Léa Kerbouche-French
- Meijke Martini-Dutch
- Pablo Núñez Martín-Spanish
To earn the Certificate of Multilingual Proficiency, students must demonstrate:
- Students must earn at least eight credits in English/Language Arts.
- Students must pass the English/Language Arts graduation qualifying exam.
- Students must earn six credits in a single World Language (WL) through coursework.
- Students must pass an approved external assessment in the World Language at an Intermediate
- High level of proficiency.
The certificate recognizes students for their dedication to language learning, cross-cultural communication, and academic excellence. Lawrenceburg High School continues to support world language education and opportunities that prepare students to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
