(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – An upcoming race at Lawrenceburg Speedway will honor the memory of a racer gone too soon, while supporting youth in the area.

The 2nd annual Zack Bolton Memorial will be held on Saturday, August 15 at Lawrenceburg Speedway.

Bolton tragically passed away from cancer last April at the age of 37. He was a familiar face at Lawrenceburg Speedway, often racing at the venue. The Zack Bolton Memorial was created to honor his memory and to bring joy to area youth through bicycle and scooter giveaways.

This year,

All kids 12 years of age and under will receive a ticket upon entry to bring to the main entrance area and drop in a bucket for the size bike they want.

During intermission, tickets will be selected and winners will be announced.

Last year, Lawrenceburg Speedway gave away over 100 bikes and scooters to kids in attendance. Bicycle and scooter donations are still being accepted. To donate, reach out to Ricky Bolton, Amanda Freeman or Lori McHenry.

On the track, attendees will enjoy races from the following classes: American All-State Crate Late Model, Diamond Heavy Haul Modifieds, Sport Mods, Lawrence Motorsports Trailer Sales Hornets, Impact Sports Pro Stocks, and Rupp Roofing and Seamless Gutters Crown Vics.

Adult general admission is $20. Kids 12 and under get in for $5.

Gates open at 5:00 p.m. Hot laps start at 6:00.
