Lawrenceburg Student Elected to Serve on Hope Squad National Council

Hope Squad is changing the conversation around mental health stigma and helping struggling children and adolescents feel seen.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Lawrenceburg Community School Corporation has announced that junior Emily Clark has been selected to serve on the 2025-2026 Hope Squad National Council.

The Hope Squad National Council is a dynamic cohort of 45 student leaders from across the country who are selected to serve one-year terms during their junior or senior year. These students become spokespeople at the highest level, ensuring their unique voice and experience are embedded into the work at Hope Squad.

“Our National Council is a beacon of hope and an example of what our youth are eager to do. We are grateful for their hard work to educate their peers, school community, and local organizations about the importance of suicide prevention, to promote mental health awareness, to spread the reach of Hope Squad, and to influence what we do at Hope Squad,” said Hope Squad CEO Greg Hudnall, Jr.

As a National Council member, Emily will be active on the Lawrenceburg High School’s Hope Squad while at the same time having the opportunity to collaborate with Hope Squad's leadership team to inform programming and offer valuable insights from student perspectives. Council members also participate in webinars, research opportunities, and serve as mental health advocates on a national stage.

Hope Squad is changing the conversation around mental health stigma and helping struggling children and adolescents feel seen, heard and valued by their peers, so the work they do is invaluable,” said Hope Squad Sponsor Heidi Frost of Lawrenceburg High School.
