Ivy Tech Lawrenceburg Among 61 Projects To Receive Circle Of Ivy Funding

A total of over $140,000 was given to 61 projects throughout Ivy Tech campuses.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Ivy Tech Lawrenceburg was one of the many campuses statewide to receive funding from Ivy Tech Foundation's Women in Philanthropy Circle of Ivy.

The Circle of Ivy society will award a total of $146,711 to 61 projects to help Ivy Tech campuses across the state with campus needs and projects that positively impact students.

The Lawrenceburg Campus voted on submitted proposals and decided to fund the 'BIOL105 Red Wolf Sanctuary Field Trip' and 'Making Student Travel to Indianapolis Possible-Salesforce'.

This initiative raises funds to diminish barriers to higher education for Ivy Tech Community College students.

Projects funded by the Circle of Ivy has had impact on sending students abroad, providing necessary instructional materials, textbooks, and classroom technology, helping students with emergency needs, and aiding local community needs through a food pantry, providing vision care and eye glasses, and creating a lending library.

Since 2015, Circle of Ivy has accepted more than 750 members. 424 members were added in 2018-2019 year alone.

More than $495,000 has been raised to assist 180 Ivy Tech projects in the past four year.
