(Aurora, Ind.) – An Aurora car dealership is planning to offer free training to area high school students.
Lawrence Motorsports plans to teach basic vehicle maintenance to students from Lawrenceburg, South Dearborn, East Central and Rising Sun high schools.
The program would teach students how to check their fluids, where to find correct tire pressure, how to change a tire and more.
A date and time for the training is scheduled to be posted on the Lawrence Motorsports Facebook page along with Mike Lawrence’s personal page on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
The first 20 high school students to text the listed number in the Facebook ad will get to attend the training free of charge.
The first class will come with refreshments and snacks. The class will be fully funded by Mike Lawrence.
“After the first class, I will decide if and how future classes will be done,” said Lawrence. “This is designed to help young individuals of our community. I may also offer a future class for adults if it goes well.”
