KSP Investigating Shooting In Gallatin County

Two Verona men were involved in the incident early Saturday morning.

(Verona, Ky.) - Kentucky State Police are investigating a shooting in Gallatin County. 

The shooting took place on South Fork Road early Saturday morning around 2:04 a.m.

According to KSP, the Gallatin County Sheriff's Office was notified of an altercation involving Joshua C. Sayler, 30, and Taylor M. Barnett, 29, both of Verona. 

Police say Barnett shot Sayler multiple times during an altercation between the two. 

Sayler was transported to UC Medical Center where he is currently in stable condition. 

The investigation is ongoing.
