Ivy Tech Offering Spring Break Scholarship Opportunity

Current high school students, homeschool, or 2021 grads can knock out a one credit-hour course requirement VIRTUALLY in a short 4 days.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Ivy Tech Community College, Lawrenceburg and Batesville Campuses, are pleased to sponsor a spring break IVYT 111 (Student Success) scholarship for current high school students, homeschool, and recent 2021 high school graduates. Students can knock out this 1 credit-hour course requirement VIRTUALLY in a short 4 days.

Register for the virtual IVYT 111 (Student Success) course that fits your schedule! Students will attend virtually Monday through Thursday, from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. Below are two session options available.

Monday, March 15 - Thursday, March 18

Monday, March 22 - Thursday, March 25

IVYT 111 (Student Success) is a 1 credit-hour, program requirement, for students who are interested in any of the following:

  • Attending Ivy Tech as a degree-seeking student as a new student in spring 2021 or fall 2021
  • Interested in earning a technical certificate or associate's degree while in high school
  • Interested in experiencing a college course, virtual classroom, or college culture

This virtual course provides students with an overview of skills and strategies, focused around personal strengths, study techniques, time management, and life skills to be a successful student. Throughout the 4 days, there will be embedded enrichment activities geared towards understanding mental health, student leadership, financial literacy, and professionalism with an emphasis on interviewing and resume skills.

This IVYT 111 (Student Success) scholarship covers the full tuition, textbook, and any associated fees associated with the course. There are no assessment prerequisites needed to enroll into the course. Essentially, this scholarship opportunity allows students to earn college credit at no cost for the student or family. Students must have access to a computer and internet since this is a virtual course.
