(Hamilton County, Oh.) - A bridge preservation project is set to start on Interstate 74 between the State Route 128 and Interstate 275 interchanges, with single-lane closures in effect beginning this week.

During the 2025 construction season, contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will be painting the bridges on I-74 East and West over the Great Miami River, as well as repairing steel on the bridge over Wesselman Road and Taylor Creek on westbound I-74.

Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, February 24, and traffic will be maintained in a minimum of two lanes in either direction. Daily, single-lane restrictions will be in effect at the various bridges from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Elite Contractors, Inc. was awarded a contract in the amount of $2.98 million to complete the project, and all work is scheduled to be completed in late October 2025.
