INDOT Provides Update on Intersection Improvement Project in Greendale

(Greendale, Ind.) - Striping, signage and signal modification have been completed at U.S. 50 and I-275 in Greendale. 

The following items were recently completed to improve traffic flow at the intersection and reduce congestion on S.R. 1:

  • Installation of additional thru lane from southbound S.R. 1 to I-275, resulting in two thru lanes 
  • Eastbound U.S. 50 to I-275 ramp reduced from two lanes to one lane to accommodate the additional thru lane from S.R. 1 to I-275 
  • New pavement markings and permanent signage 

Minor median barrier curb repair work will take place at the intersection.
