INDOT Announces Ripley County Road Closures

Closures will begin Monday, November 4, lasting through Thursday, November 7.

(Ripley Co., Ind.) - Ripley County residents will be experiencing some road closures starting next Monday and lasting through Thursday.

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will be sending maintenance crews to Ripley County for pipe replacements. 

These crews will mainly be working in areas on S.R. 101 and S.R. 229 from 8 AM to 5 PM. 

Work starting on Monday, November 4 will be closing a portion of S.R. 101 near Sunman. The road will be closed between C.R. 1000 N. and C.R. 1100 N. This was originally scheduled for Wednesday, October 30, but cancelled due to weather. The detour route will be S.R. 46 to S.R. 129 to S.R. 48.

On Wednesday, November 6, S.R. 229 will be closed between C.R. 200 W. and CR. 250 W. east of Napoleon. A detour route will be U.S. 421 to S.R. 350 to S.R. 129. 

Work on Thursday, November 7 will again close S.R. 101. This closure will be between U.S. 50 and C.R. 50 S. south of Milan. The detour will be U.S. 50 to S.R. 129 to S.R. 350. 

Thru traffic is directed to the detour routes. INDOT will allow access to homes blocked by these closure during maintenance.
