Help Plan Batesville’s America 250 Event

A kickoff meeting is scheduled for December 1.

(Batesville, Ind.) - Batesville will be celebrating America’s 250th anniversary in July 2026, and community members are being asked to help plan a big celebration. 

To make that happen, quite a few subcommittees are being formed. 

A kickoff meeting is planned for Monday, December 1 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. at the Batesville Memorial Public Library. 

Subcommittees include:
• Fireworks
• Parade
• Kids’ activities
• Music
• Food trucks
• Outdoor picnic events
• Beer garden
• Vendors and community booths
• Memorial Pool activities
• Historical presentations
• Historic tours
• Community baseball events
• Summer and patriotic movies
