The suspect, James McReynolds, 33, of Hebron, was arrested.

(Hebron, KY) - On Wednesday, April 2, 2025, Boone County Sheriff’s Office detectives executed a search warrant on Ridge Avenue in Hebron after identifying a suspect in a child pornography investigation. The suspect, James McReynolds, 33, of Hebron, was arrested.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Office initiated the investigation into an IP address found to be connected to the sharing of numerous files that were known to contain child sexual abuse material. The IP address was found to be registered to McReynolds’ home address. Boone County detectives, along with the Criminal Forensic Unit, Electronic Crimes Unit and electronics detection K-9, executed a search warrant at McReynolds’ residence early Wednesday morning.
Recovering numerous electronic devices and other electronic media storage. During an interview, McReynolds admitted to detectives that he used torrent software to download and view files which contained media files of juveniles engaged in various sexual acts. He also admitted to sharing those same videos.
McReynolds was charged with sixty counts of Distribution of Matter Portraying a Sexual Performance by a Minor Under 12.
