Heat Advisory Issued for Tri-State Area

The advisory goes into effect Thursday at noon.

(Wilmington, Oh.) – Intense heat will affect the entire region heading into the weekend.

The National Weather Service says a Heat Advisory will be in effect for the entire tri-state from noon Thursday to 9:00 p.m. Friday.

Maximum heat index values are expected to reach 100 Thursday and between 100 and 105 on Friday.

Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses to occur.

The NWS advises you drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances.
