Hamilton Co. Jail Services Officers Arrested on Unrelated Charges

(Hamilton County, Oh.) - Two jail services officers at the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office have been terminated due to unrelated incidents. 

Sheriff Charmaine McGuffey announced Friday that Cody Hunley and Joshua Eastham have been terminated effective immediately. 

Hunley recently experienced a mental health crisis while working and damaged computer equipment. During the investigation, it was discovered that Hunley has a serious substance abuse issue. 

He has been charged with Theft in Office (Level 5 Felony) and Theft of a Firearm (Level 3 Felony). The investigation is ongoing. 

As for Eastham, he has been charged with two counts of Forgery related to falsified medical documents requesting sick time (Level 5 Felony). 

Both are housed at the Hamilton County Justice Center. 

Sheriff McGuffey says no further information will be released at this time due to ongoing investigation.
