(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Greendale Middle School students have raised hundreds of dollars to help children facing food insecurity.
GMS Student Council has been working hard to raise money for the Dearborn County Clearinghouse. Last week, they were able to donate $500 to the “Sacks of Snacks” program.
Sacks of Snacks was created to support children in our community who are going hungry.
The Clearinghouse now serves a total of 360 children through the program, providing a weekly bag of food for these children to have on the weekends.
A typical bag of food includes, breakfast bars, individual fruit cups, individual cereals and other individual, quick items.
