The Lawrenceburg Community Center and Lawrenceburg Young Life will host the event July 25

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Lawrenceburg is getting ready for a pickleball celebration that is kind of a big dill.
The Burg Big Dill Pickleball Festival, will take place on Saturday, July 25 at the Lawrenceburg Community Center.
With the theme “Fun First. Competitive Second,” The Burg Big Dill is designed to welcome everyone, from experienced players to beginners and families looking for a fun summer event. The festival will include pickleball tournaments, beginner clinics, food and drinks, music, kids’ activities, giveaways and door prizes, fun awards, and family-friendly entertainment throughout the day.
“The whole event is about bringing the community together for a day of fun, friendly competition, and support for local kids,” said Nathaniel Chitty, Lawrenceburg Young Life Area Director. “Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing ways for people of all ages to get active and connect. This festival gives Lawrenceburg a chance to celebrate that energy in a big way while highlighting the new pickleball courts at the community center.”
The festival is part of a larger effort to rally for local kids and support Lawrenceburg Young Life. Proceeds from the event will help further local youth outreach and programming.
Players can register to compete, families can come out to enjoy the festival atmosphere and spectators are invited to cheer on participants throughout the day. Whether attending to play, learn, volunteer, eat, listen to music or simply enjoy the community celebration, The Burg Big Dill will offer something for everyone.

About Lawrenceburg Young Life and The Burg Big Dill
Lawrenceburg Young Life was established in 2013 and is part of the worldwide Young Life organization that was established in 1941 for middle, high school and college students. Here in Lawrenceburg, we have a network of 60 volunteers who reach kids at the local high schools, middle schools and the Dearborn County Youth Detention Center through the ministries of Young Life, Wyldlife and Young Life ONE. Simply put, our staff and volunteers meet kids where they are and walk alongside them through the challenges and victories in their life. This year, 545 kids were known and prayed for by Lawrenceburg Young Life volunteers. On average, 81 kids attended weekly outreach events and over 30 kids are headed to camp this summer, all through local community support.
The Burg Big Dill 2026, is the first annual pickleball festival hosted by Young Life and will raise funds to reach kids in Southeast Indiana in the years ahead through a family friendly, community minded, fun summer gathering and friendly competition.
