The summer restaurant promotion has been organized by Main Street Brookville.

(Brookville, Ind.) – If southeastern Indiana had a signature food, it would be fried chicken.
Main Street Brookville has considered that in coming up with a new summer promotion for Franklin County restaurants: The Chicken Trail.
Starting June 8 and continuing through September 28, fried chicken lovers can visit any one of 12 participating restaurants across the county to pick up a Chicken Trail passport. Those restaurants include:
Batesville: Cricket Ridge
Brookville: Dairy Cottage, Ainsley's Café, Korners Kountry Kitchen, El Reparo, Ye Olde Shack, The Pioneer Restaurant & Lounge, and Third Place.
Enochsburg: Fireside Inn.
Metamora: The Farm House.
Oldenburg: Wagner’s Village Inn and The Brau Haus.
Diners who get their Chicken Trail passport stamped by at least nine of the restaurants can return them to Main Street Brookville’s office by September 30 to be entered for a chance to win over $500 in cash prizes. Chicken connoisseurs will also be asked to vote on their favorite chicken dish from the restaurants.
