Founder of North Dearborn Food Pantry Passes Away

Ann Jeffries.

(Aurora, Ind.) - Community members are mourning the loss of the inspiration founder of the North Dearborn Food Pantry 

Ann Jeffries passed away on June 22 at the age of 101. 

Jeffries was a long-time community servant. In the 1970's, she founding the Food and Clothing Home Mission, now known as the North Dearborn Food Pantry. She also served as a long-time Logan Township Trustee. 

In 2006, Jeffries was recognized for her community service with a Lady of Distinction Award. She also had the honor of carrying the torch in the Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay. 

Visitation will be held at Dearborn Hills Church, located at 25365 State Line Road, Lawrenceburg (Bright), Indiana, 47025, on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM, with Rev. David Ballinger and Rev. Robert Cannon officiating. Burial will follow at Gibson Cemetery.

In honor of Ann's life and her enduring commitment to her community, memorials are requested to be made to Dearborn Hills Church or the North Dearborn Pantry.
