The driver appeared to have overcorrected before leaving the roadway

(North Vernon, Ind.) - Jennings County Sheriff's deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident in Spencer Township last Thursday morning.
Upon arrival to the scene, deputies located a 2002 Chevy pickup truck that had left the north side of the roadway. The vehicle appeared to have overcorrected, crossed the roadway, and left the south side of the roadway before rolling over multiple times.
As a result of the collision, Austin Luedeman, 18, of North Vernon, sustained fatal injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing and toxicology results are pending.
At this time, alcohol and drugs are not suspected to have been contributing factors in the crash.
The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Jennings County EMS, Jennings County Dispatch, Spencer Township Fire Department, Jennings County Corners Office and Lucas Wrecker Service.
