Extrication Needed at Separate Crashes Near Versailles

Both multi-vehicle crashes took place Friday evening.

(Versailles, Ind.) – Versailles firefighters responded to two multi-vehicle accidents on Friday evening.

The first accident took place on U.S. 421, just south of Versailles near Michigan Road. One patient was extricated from their vehicle and airlifted from the scene with unknown injuries.

Others involved in the crash were transported by ambulance to an area hospital. The number of injured passengers was not released.

A second accident took place at the intersection of State Road 129 and U.S. 50. Extrication was once again needed, and one person was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.

Versailles Fire was assisted at the scenes by Ripley County EMS, Ripley County Sheriff’s deputies, Milan Police, Indiana State Police, Phi Air Medical, and New Marion Fire.
