(Bright, Ind.) - Heroin and methamphetamine were found in a home in Bright Monday evening.
Acting on tips from multiple sources, Dearborn and Ohio County Special Crimes Unit detectives served a search warrant at the home of Jason E. Sharp. Inside the home at 23524 Blue Ridge Road, detectives found meth, heroin, prescription medications, and a large amount of cash.
According to a court affidavit, investigators also found a loaded handgun and several unloaded long guns.
Sharp, 34, is charged with Dealing in a Narcotic Drug Heroin Over 3 Grams (Class A felony), Dealing in Methamphetamine Over 3 Grams (Class A felony), and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class D felony).
Sharp remains held in the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center as of Wednesday morning.
Special Crimes Unit detectives were assisted in the investigation by the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department, Hamilton County Drug Abuse Task Force, and the Rising Sun Police Department.
