(Connersville, Ind.) - Connersville High School played host to the IHSAA Boys Track and Field Sectional 24 on Thursday night.
Fifteen teams competed with East Central coming away with the sectional title.
Team Scores: 1) East Central 131.25, 2) Richmond 79.5, 3) Batesville 70.25, 4) Northeastern 53, 5) Connersville 44.25, 6) Rushville 41, 6) Union County 41, 8) Tri 40, 9) Morristown 35, 10) Franklin County 32, 11) Oldenburg 24, 12) Centerville 14, 13) Hagerstown 10.25, 14) Cambridge City Lincoln 6, 15) Seton Catholic 2.5
East Central won five events.
Liam Cox is the Sectional 24 Pole Vault champion with a 14'0" mark.
Trevor Perkins was victorious in two events. He won the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.32, and the 300 meters with a time of 40.14.
The team of Carson Ibold, Trevor Perkins, Mitchell Karaus and Liam Cox won the 4x100 Relay, setting a new Sectional 24 record with a time of 43.14. Ibold, Cox and Perkins were joined by Cameron Williams in winning the 4x400 (3:27.47)
Third place Batesville had two sectional championship winners. The 4x800m relay team of Cannon Clark, Cash Myers, James Rowland and Griffin Koester crossing the line first (8:22.79). Cannon Clark won the 800 meter run (2:05.01).
