Dollar Store Robbery Suspects Receive Initial Hearing in Court

Both are facing multiple felony charges.

(Dearborn County, Ind.) - Two defendants accused in the Dollar General robbery on February 14 in Aurora had their initial hearings in Dearborn County. 

Robert Harden, III, and Samantha Brewer were in Dearborn Superior Court on March 6. 

Harden is facing charges of Armed Robbery (Level 3 Felony), Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery (Level 3 Felony), Burglary (Level 4 Felony), and two counts of Auto Theft (Level 6 Felonies).

Brewer is facing charges of Armed Robbery (Level 3 Felony), Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery (Level 3 Felony), and Auto Theft (Level 6 Felony).

Bond for Harden was set in the amount of $2,000,000 cash, and the bond for Brewer was set in the amount of $1,500,000 cash. 

At the time of the incident, detectives learned that a male entered the Dollar General on Gatch Hill Road, brandished a knife, and demanded money from the cash register. The suspect then removed cash from the register and fled the store. 

The suspects got away in a vehicle that was reported stolen from the Hillcrest Motel on U.S. 50 in Aurora days prior. 

Harden and Brewer were apprehended on February 18 in Lexington, Kentucky.
