Dearborn Co. Voting Precinct Changes Approved

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Some Dearborn County voters will have to cast their ballot new locations starting with the upcoming May 8 primary election.

Dearborn County Commissioners approved recommended changes from Dearborn County Clerk Phil Weaver for three voting precincts at their Tuesday meeting.

Voting locations in Miller 1, Logan 1, and Harrison 3 have been changed. Additionally, 400 to 500 voters have been reassigned to a neighborhood precinct.

Miller 1 will move from  the Miller-York Fire Department to the Tanner Valley Methodist Church, 19235 State Road 1, Lawrenceburg.

Voters from Logan 1 who had voted at the North Dearborn Public Library will now cast ballots at Bright Fire Station #3, 25991 Unity Drive, West Harrison.

Harrison 3’s precinct will relocate from The Heartland, 2538 Stone Valley Lane in West Harrison, to Dearborn Hills Methodist Church, 25364 Stateline Road in Lawrenceburg. The church will still house Harrison 2.

“The County is making every effort to inform affected voters.  However, if a voter does report to the wrong polling location on Election Day, poll workers will be prepared to redirect them to the appropriate location,” said Dearborn County Administrator Terri Randall.

Post cards are being mailed to registered voters affected by the change. Citizens can also find their registration status and polling place by visiting www.IndianaVoters.com or calling the Dearborn County Clerk’s Office at (812) 537-1977 Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Monday, April 9 is the deadline for Indiana residents to register to vote.
