Lawrenceburg City Councilman Sends YES Home Youth to Kings Island

He chose to support the YES Home because their mission is incredibly important

(Aurora, Ind.) - Thanks to a random act of kindness, a group of YES Home youth enjoyed a perfect end of summer getaway.

Lawrenceburg City Councilman Dylan Liddle recently made a contribution to the YES Home to send 12 youth to Kings Island.

The contribution helped purchase tickets to the amusement park, plus all you can eat and drink wristbands.

"We are sending a ginormous thank you to Dylan Liddle for sending our youth to Kings Island! Most of our youth had never been before and some overcame their fear and rode roller coasters and even Drop Zone! Dylan, thank you for thinking of our youth! They had a blast!" reads a statement from the YES Home.

Liddle tells Eagle Country 99.3 that his motivation was simple:

"Every child deserves the opportunity to just be a kid and create memories they’ll carry with them for years to come. I chose to support the YES Home because their mission is incredibly important, and I know firsthand what it’s like to grow up without opportunities like this. My parents struggled with addiction, and because of that, experiences like Kings Island just weren’t possible for me growing up. The first time I ever went was on a middle school field trip with Bengal Beat. I still remember how much that meant to me. If I could help give these young people a day to have fun, make memories, and simply enjoy being kids, then it was something I wanted to be a part of. It was never about recognition—it was simply about giving back in a way that I hope makes a positive difference."

The YES Home provides a safe, family-like home for youth ages 12-20 who have experienced abuse, neglect, or abandonment. Through trauma-informed care and evidence-based treatment, they help young people heal, develop life skills, and build brighter futures.
