Dearborn Co. Recycling Center's ReProm Dress Exchange Has Special March Hours

Now is the time to save money on your prom dress at the ReProm Dress Exchange.

(Aurora, Ind.) -  The Dearborn County Recycling Center’s ReProm Formal Dress Exchange is back.

The program is a great way to save money by simply trading a new or gently used dress for a new one.

ReProm is open by appointment only at the Dearborn County Recycling Center, 10700 Prospect Lane in Aurora.

Special March hours include:

  • Mondays from 3:00-6:00 p.m.
  • Wednesdays from 1:00-6:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • March 20, 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • March 21, 23, 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Open to everyone, not just Dearborn County residents, there are over 1,000 formal dresses available.

Participants must be present to get a dress (one per person).

To swap a dress, the dress must be in ready-to-wear condition, clean, and fit with current formal fashion trends to qualify for an exchange. Long formal dresses may be exchanged for any dress, while short formal dresses may only be exchanged for another short dress.

Participants should be prepared to make a cash donation in case their dress in not accepted. Dresses with rips, tears, stains, or broken zippers and clasps will not be accepted.

Those who don’t have a dress to exchange may make a cash or check donation to support the program.
