DCH Welcomes New Pediatrician

Press release from Dearborn County Hospital

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - The Center for Women and Children will welcome a new Pediatrician to its offices in Lawrenceburg and Bright this July.  Board Certified Pediatrician Veronica Jensen, M.D., will begin seeing patients the second week of July at both locations.

“We are thrilled to have Dr. Jensen as part of our pediatric team,” stated Dr. Elizabeth Reece, Center for Women and Children Pediatrician.  “With the addition of Dr. Jensen, we now have four pediatricians: Drs. Alma Maric, Courtney Caños and I, to care for infants, children and adolescents.

“I am sure that Dr. Jensen will be very well received by both our patients and their parents. While she is a very thorough clinician, Dr. Jensen also has a wonderful personality. She is kind, caring, patient and very understanding of children and their physical and emotional needs,” continued

Dr. Reece.

“For the past six years I have practiced in Logansport, Indiana, which is northeast of Lafayette,” explained Dr. Jensen. “My husband, Marcus, and I are excited about relocating to Southeastern Indiana.  As parents of an 18 month old girl, we wanted to be closer to my family in Sellersburg.

“Also, we are looking forward to living close to Cincinnati. Making our home in Greendale allows us to enjoy life in a small community while still being able to participate in the many recreational, cultural and educational activities and events available in the Greater Cincinnati area.

“I believe that I will truly enjoy practicing at the Center for Women and Children, given its family oriented environment and the helpfulness and congeniality of the physicians and support staff,” added Dr. Jensen.  “During my first conversation with Dr. Reece, I could tell she was very dedicated to her patients and her practice and that she found her work extremely fulfilling.”

Board Certified in Pediatrics, Dr. Jensen received her Medical Degree from the College of Medicine, University of the Philippines and completed an Internship at Philippine General Hospital, both in Manila.  She then went on to complete a three year Pediatric Residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in New York City.

Appointments with Dr. Jensen are currently being accepted by calling the Center for Women and Children’s Lawrenceburg office at 812/537-5759 or their Bright location at 812/656-8100.

In addition to the four Pediatricians, the Center for Women and Children is home to the practices of Obstetrician/gynecologists Drs. Edward Reece and Stephan Kraeling.  Office locations are at 132 Industrial Drive in Lawrenceburg and at 24143 Professional Park Drive in Bright.  The Center for Women and Children is an affiliate of Dearborn County Hospital.
