Conservation Officers Use Drone to Locate Suspect in Ripley Co.

(Ripley County, Ind.) - The use of technology helped apprehend a suspect in Ripley County. 

On March 21, Indiana Conservation Officers assisted the Ripley County Sheriff's Office after a man violated a protective order and fled from deputies. 

After a lengthy K-9 search, an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) or drone was used to locate the unconscious suspect in a nearby wooded area. 

Responders were able to reach the intoxicated suspect and get him help. 

The name of the suspect involved was not released.
