Cleves Man Airlifted From Dump Truck Accident In Manchester

The crash took place near Schaefer Road on Tuesday afternoon.

(Manchester, Ind.) – A Cleves man was injured in a single-vehicle dump truck accident on Tuesday afternoon.

Dearborn County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash around 4:19 p.m. in the area of State Road 48 and Schaefer Road.

Upon arriving at the scene, deputies located a dump truck off the side of the road.

According to a news release Wednesday, Mark Antoni, 59, of Cleves, was traveling westbound on State Road 48 when his dump truck ran off the north side of the road. Antoni then crossed both lanes of SR 48 before coming to a rest on the south side of the road.

Antoni was airlifted to UC Medical Center with unknown injuries.

A cause of the accident remains unknown.

The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Manchester Fire and EMS, Sunman Fire, UC Air Care and Schaefer’s Towing.
