Children in grades 3-12 are invited to participate in early June.

(Batesville, Ind.) - All area children from grades 3 to 12 are invited to participate in a choral and vocal music camp at Batesville High School (BHS) in early June.
The camp will provide lessons in choral singing, good vocal technique, and appropriate performance practices in a relaxed setting, according to Dan Borns, choir director at the Batesville Community School Corporation (BCSC) and camp director. Students do not need to be enrolled at BCSC to participate.
“Being a part of a music camp is a great opportunity for students to develop their talents as musicians, as ensemble members, and as artists,” Borns said. “During that week, they will grow as performers in a fun, positive environment.”
Camp hours are Monday through Friday, June 2 through 6, from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day. Friday’s agenda also includes a pizza party, followed by a camp festival concert for the public at 5:00 p.m. at BHS. Optional private voice lessons will also be offered for those age 12 and older. The camp fee of $95 includes a t-shirt and daily snacks.
More information and a digital flyer with a registration link are available at https://shorturl.at/IZ18r. Registrations are due no later than May 23. For specific questions, contact Borns at dborns@batesville.k12.in.us.
