By Mike Perleberg Charlie Daniels Band (Vevay, Ind.) - The Charlie Daniels Band will play in southeastern Indiana again this summer. The legendary country band will headline the 46th Swiss Wine Festival in Vevay on Friday, August 25. Known for songs like “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” and “Simple Man”, the band’s titular frontman was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2016 and is a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Sounds of Summer, a popular The Beach Boys tribute band from Indiana, will perform on Saturday, August 26. All Swiss Wine Festival concerts are included with festival admission. The festival will be held at Paul Ogle Riverfront Park in Vevay on August 24-27. In addition to musical guests and entertainment acts, the Swiss Wine Festival offers riverboat cruises on the scenic Ohio River, a wine tasting pavilion featuring Indiana wineries, a beer garden, and new this year we are adding a craft beer and spirits area, parade, fireworks, amusements rides, food and so much more.
