Bret Michaels, Cole Swindell Highlight Lawrenceburg Fall Fest

Lawrenceburg Fall Fest gets underway on Thursday, September 28 and runs through Saturday, September 30. The three-day-long celebration features free concerts from country music star Cole Swindell and rock icon Bret Michaels, carnival rides and games, a variety of food booths, beer garden, contests and cook-offs, a car show, and the DCH Health Walk. The fun begins with the inaugural Battle of the Banks on Thursday evening. The concert series will feature eight local bands, all sponsored by area banks. Each band will alternate playing 30-minute sets beginning at 5:00 p.m. Rides, beer garden and the fairway also open at 5:00. Friday’s events begin at 5:30 with a Purple Heart Tribute on the main stage, and live music from Grass Roots Revival and Midnight Rambles. Up-and-coming country music star Cole Swindell will headline Friday night’s festivities with a free concert in the Lawrenceburg Community Center parking lot. Swindell is best known for hits such as “You Should Be Here,” “Middle of a Memory,” “Flatliner,” and “Ain’t Worth the Whiskey.” On Saturday, the fairway opens at 11:00 a.m. A number of events will take place on the small stage near St. Lawrence Church, including the Fall Fest’s Got Talent Contest, Senior Citizen King and Queen Contest and the High School King and Queen Contest. Live music begins at 5:30 p.m. with the Weldon Brothers and the Indiana Mud Bugs. Bret Michaels makes his triumphant return to the Lawrenceburg Fall Fest stage for a free concert at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Saturday. Michaels, front man of the rock group Poison, has been ranked by Hit Parader magazine as one of the greatest heavy metal singers of all-time. Poison has sold over 45 million records worldwide and it is Michael’s voice heard on top hits including “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” and “Nothin’ But a Good Time”.
