(Batesville, Ind.) - Patrick Maschino will serve Batesville Primary School (BPS) as its assistant principal, joining the administrative team at the Batesville Community School Corporation (BCSC). Most recently, Maschino taught at various elementary levels within the Madison Consolidated School Corporation while earning his master’s degree in school administration and obtaining his school administration certification.
Besides his 10 years in the classroom, Maschino brings to BPS an extensive list of educational leadership experiences. He has gained valuable administrative knowledge by serving on technology, curriculum, and virtual learning committees. In addition, he mentored under previous principals, assisting them with handbook revisions and general school improvements. He also stepped in as a substitute principal during absences to learn first-hand about school administration.
“Patrick Maschino was a clear favorite with the members of the interview selection committee,” explained Kindra Moore, incoming BPS principal. “In addition to his professional experience, his upbeat personality and ability to meaningfully connect with both students and adults make him an excellent fit. He comes to Batesville with glowing recommendations, so we are excited to have him join our team.”
Maschino received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Indiana State University in 2015. His master’s degree was obtained from Indiana Wesleyan University in February of 2025. Before teaching in Madison, he taught fourth and fifth grade in Columbus, Indiana. He has also coached football and track and field at the middle school and high school levels.
The incoming assistant principal and his wife, Erika (Stanley) Maschino, a Greensburg native, have two daughters, Palmer (third grade) and Emmy (first grade). His hobbies include spending time with his family and friends, running and being active, and attending sporting events. His favorite sports teams include Purdue and the Pittsburgh Steelers. They plan to relocate to the Batesville area.
“I am beyond excited to be welcomed into the Bulldog family and the Batesville community,” Maschino said. “It is an honor to be able to serve the students and families that make up BPS. I am looking forward to building relationships with our staff, students, and community while making a positive impact and difference.”
Maschino joins Moore, who was appointed earlier this year to lead the school beginning with the 2026-27 school year. She replaced long-time BPS leader Brad Stoneking, who will now be the principal at Batesville High School.
