Batesville 6th at Golf Regional; Jon Moody Becomes First Regional Champ in Program History

(Henryville, Ind.) - The Batesville Bulldogs competed as a team at the IHSAA Boys Golf Regional Championship on Thursday at Champions Pointe Golf Club in Henryville. 

Batesville finished in 6th place (316), and missing advancing to the state finals as a team by only seven strokes. 

However, for the first time in school history, the Batesville Boys Golf team is home to an IHSAA Regional Champion in senior Jon Moody, who took home first place individually with a 71 (-1). He will compete at the IHSAA State Finals on Tuesday, June 16 and Wednesday, June 17 at Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel.

Ian Hixson carded a 78 and Landon Raver finished with an 80. Caleb Laker chipped in with an 87 and Cooper Phebus carded a 93. 

Moody will be the first representative of the Batesville Boys Golf program at the IHSAA State Finals since 2007.
