Milan's Langferman Named MIFC Offensive Player of the Week

(Milan, Ind.) - Week 2 of the high school football season is in the books. 

It was a rough week for teams in the Mid-Indiana Football Conference as Brown County was the only conference team to score a win. 

Still, there were some terrific individual performances that led to weekly awards and recognition from the MIFC. 

Milan sophomore running back Beckett Langferman is the MIFC Offensive Player of the Week. The Indians star carried the ball 23 times for 204 yards and a touchdown. Langferman also caught a screen pass that he took 66-yards to the endzone in a 28-27 loss to Batesville.  

Brown County's Caleb Fouts is the MIFC Defensive Player of the Week. He recorded eight tackles, including four for a loss and forced a fumble and recovered a fumble in Brown County's 32-14 win over Crawford County. 

The MIFC Special Teams Player of the Week is Ruly Alvarez. The Edinburgh star had four kickoff returns for 132 yards.
