(Batesville, Ind.) - Batesville Police arrested a Dillsboro man on multiple drug related charges last week.
On Wednesday, July 22, around 3:02 a.m., Batesville Police Officers were dispatched to the Quality Inn on State Road 46 East regarding "suspicious activity."
Staff members directed the officers to a room occupied by a man a woman. Upon arrival, officers found a loaded handgun with 2 extra magazines, 2 bags containing large chunks of crystal like substance believed to be methamphetamine, several small baggies of suspected marijuana, paraphernalia, multiple hypodermic syringes, and multiple tablets determined to be Oxycodone Hydrochloride.
Thomas E. Stumpf, 42, of Dillsboro was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine (Level 3 Felony), Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance (Level 6 Felony), Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe (Level 6 Felony), Possession of Marijuana (Class B Misdemeanor) and Possession of Paraphernalia (Class C Misdemeanor).
Stumpf is being held at the Ripley County Jail
BPD officers were assisted the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office.
