Bomb Threat Prompts Increased Police At Boone Co. HS

By Amanda Barry (Florence, Ky.) – Boone County High School parents were notified that a message threatening to “blow up the school" was found written in a girls bathroom Monday. School officials believe it was just a prank. “We do not believe it is a valid threat, just merely an unfortunate, cruel, stupid prank,” said Principal Mark Raleigh in an automated phone call that was sent to the parents. The message threatened to “blow up the school Tuesday.” Raleigh said the school will operate as usual Tuesday, however, there will be an additional police presence. School officials are  continuing to investigate and hope to identify the person responsible for the threat.
