Basement Fire Breaks Out at Versailles Home

The incident took place on Sunday afternoon.

(Versailles, Ind.) - Versailles Fire and Rescue was called to a house fire just off of U.S. 50 on Sunday afternoon. 

A fire broke out in the basement of a home on Main Street. 

The fire was contained to the basement area and no injuries were reported. 

A cause of the fire is unknown at this time. 

Versailles firefighters were assisted at the scene by Osgood Fire and Ripley County EMS.
