PHOTOS: Aurora Farmers Fair Veterans Presentation Set for Thursday

Among this year's honorees are Veterans of the Vietnam War and WWII.

(Aurora, Ind.) - Nine local war heroes will be honored this week at the 114th Aurora Farmers Fair. 

The annual War Veterans Presentation will take place Thursday, October 5 at 6:05 p.m. on Stage 1. 

This year's honorees include six Vietnam Veterans, two World War II Veterans, and special recognition to Col. Lynn W. Rolf, Jr. 

The six Vietnam Veterans receiving plaques on Thursday are Tim AlbrightJerry EckerleJerry HackerRick SommerSteve Utter, and Eric Smith. You can read about each of their military careers by clicking on their name.

J.C. Lewis and George Lingg will be recognized for their service during World War II. Both were previously honored during Lawrenceburg Fall Music Fest's Veterans Recognition Ceremony last month.

Lynn W. Rolf Jr., a Vietnam Veteran, who spent 31 distinguished years serving in the U.S. Army will receive a special plaque for his service. His bio can be read below.
