Mayor Weiss joined Bubba Bo on air Friday morning.

(Greendale, Ind.) - City of Greendale Mayor Alan Weiss says the City is functioning close to normal.
Weiss told Eagle Country 99.3 Monday morning that he is continuing to serve Greendale residents during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"I go to work every day, keep my social distance," said Weiss. "I got a job to do and I'm not going to let this stop me."
Weiss added that City crews are currently four hours days, but will return to full eight hour days on Monday, May 4.
Police, fire and EMS are continuing to work too.
"They have been doing a remarkable job, so hats off to them," said Weiss.
Another topic that was brought up was utility bills. LMU customers in the City of Lawrenceburg have received bill forgiveness for the months of May and June. However, a similar deal won't be happening in Greendale.
"I wish we had the same amount of money so we could do something like that," said Weiss. "Unfortunately, we don't."
Weiss added that the City is willing to work with any Greendale residents that are struggling to keep up on their utility bill by working out a payment plan.
The City is also in the process of upgrading the electric system. The five to 10 year plan will largely feature the replacement of aging equipment.
With warmer weather on the way, Greendale residents might be curious about summer events.
Weiss said he doesn't want to jump the gun on any cancellations, but forecasted that things don't look good.
