(Yorkville, Ind.) - The American Pickers' visit to Dearborn County premiered to a national television audience Sunday night. Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, owners of Antique Archaeology and stars of the popular History Channel show American Pickers, visited John and Betty Middendorf's Yorkville farm in April. In the episode which was shown on the cable network for the first time last night, the scavengers found an old 1952 Willys Jeep station wagon and an old automobile diagnostics machine. John and daughter Jenny were featured prominently in the segment, sharing stories about how the family collected so many antiques and their family trip on a bus. Betty says the film crew was around the farm for about the entire day, but the visit was condensed to just a few minutes for television. Aside from the wagon and machine, Betty says Mike and Frank found and bought many other items - signs, bikes, a donkey lighter.
