Batesville Go Back-to-Back as Sectional Champs

(Greensburg, Ind.) - Fourteen teams took to the golf course last Friday to compete for a sectional title.

Batesville captured their second sectional title in a row with a low score of 311 at Greensburg Country Club, taking home the Sectional 28 trophy.

Ian Hixson was the round medalist with 73. His teammate, Jon Moody, placed second overall with a 75. Other Batesville scores include Landon Raver (78), Cooper Phebus (85), and Caleb Laker (87).

The Bulldogs will move on as a team to the Regional Round. They will be joined by second place Columbus North, and third place Shelbyville. Individuals advancing without a team are Bill Miller (Hauser, 75), Blake Bryant (Waldron, 79), and Logan Simpson (Greensburg, 81).

Batesville will be back in action on Thursday, June 11 at Champions Pointe Golf Club in Henryville.
