Alleged Inappropriate Behavior Investigated at South Ripley Junior High

The investigation determined the allegation to be unfounded.

(Versailles, Ind.) - South Ripley Schools is aware of a recent social media post alleging an inappropriate situation involving a teacher during classroom instruction at South Ripley Junior High School.

"We take all allegations involving staff members seriously and immediately conducted a thorough investigation into the matter."

The investigation determined the allegation to be unfounded. It is important to note that a second adult was present in the classroom during the entirety of the class periods when the issue was alleged to have occurred. Both adults who were present have been clear and consistent in stating that the alleged incident did not take place. Other appropriate agencies investigated the claim and also deemed the allegation to be unsubstantiated.

"We recognize that false allegations can be deeply harmful to the individuals involved. Such claims not only cause personal hurt, but they can also result in lasting impacts on professional and personal reputations. We ask our community to be mindful and responsible when sharing information, especially when it involves the well-being of our staff and students."
