Update published at 10:45 a.m.:

Details of a plea agreement between former Cincinnati Bengals player Adam “Pacman” Jones and Dearborn-Ohio County Prosecutors have been filed in Ohio County Court.

The plea agreement was reached Thursday (read our original report below).

Judge James D. Humphrey could accept the plea agreement at a later date. If the agreement is rejected by the judge, the case could proceed to trial.

According to the joint motion in tender of conditional negotiated plea, Jones would plead guilty to Cheating at Gambling (level 6 felony) and Resisting Law Enforcement (class A misdemeanor). All remaining counts would be dismissed.

Jones would receive a sentence of 545 days, 531 days of which would be suspended to probation. He would serve 10 days in jail.

During that time, Jones could not consume alcohol or illegal substances. He would be prohibited from possessing any firearm or dangerous weapon without permission from a probation officer. The plea agreement would also ban him from having any direct or indirect contact with Rising Sun Casino.

Jones would have to agree to waive extradition to Indiana and voluntarily return to Indiana when ordered by the court.

If he successfully completes his probation, Jones could ask the Ohio County Circuit Court judge to reduce his felony conviction to a class A misdemeanor.

Original story published at 7:08 a.m.:

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - Former Cincinnati Bengals player Adam "Pacman" Jones is taking a guilty plea following his arrest at Rising Star Casino.

Jones was arrested in the early morning hours February 27 at the Rising Sun riverboat when Indiana Gaming Commission agents say he cheated at a table game. When met by agents, Jones “became verbally combative and disorderly,” allegedly threatening to kill one of the officers and grabbing another.

Prosecutors tell the Cincinnati Enquirer that Jones accepted a plea deal Thursday for nine felony and five misdemeanor charges including Intimidation (level 6 felony), Battery Against a Public Safety Official (level 6 felony), Theft (class A misdemeanor), Resisting Law Enforcement (class A misdemeanor), Disorderly Conduct (class B misdemeanor) and Public Intoxication (class B misdemeanor).

The charges include five new counts of felony Cheating at Gambling (level 6 felony) filed Thursday.

The new plea deal would dismiss some of those charges against the 35-year-old NFL free agent.

The agreement between prosecutors and Jones’ defense attorneys must still be accepted by Ohio County Circuit Court Judge James D. Humphrey. Details of the plea agreement are not public until they are filed in court.

Jones’ defense attorney, Del Weldon, was not immediately available for comment Friday.

Last month, Weldon filed a motion to have inflammatory and offensive language stricken from the probable cause affidavit prepared by IGC agents following Jones' arrest. Alternatively, Dearborn-Ohio County Prosecutor Lynn Deddens asked a judge to place a gag order on all parties in order to preserve the integrity and fairness of the court case.

Those matters were due to be taken up at Thursday's court hearing, but may be a moot point with the plea agreement reached.
