Darius Rucker & Friends Benefit Raises Over $400K

Rucker's ninth annual music and golf event sold out.

(Nashville, TN)  --  Darius Rucker is wrapping up another successful benefit concert for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

The ninth annual Darius & Friends Benefit Concert and Golf Tournament raised a record-breaking $404,000.

The concert was held at the Ryman on June 4th, and the golf tourney was held on June 5th.

“As a parent I can’t imagine the emotional toll hearing your child has cancer takes, not to mention the financial stress,” said Rucker. “The support families with a child facing life-threatening illness receive from St. Jude is just incredible. I’m proud to support St. Jude and I’m so grateful to all our friends who came out and donated their time to be on the show.”

To date, the benefit has raised over $1.6 billion for St. Jude.
