Woulms Siblings Shine At AAU Junior Olympics

Their trophy room is starting to get crowded.

(Aurora, Ind.) – For the second consecutive year, a martial artist from Aurora is bringing home medals from the Junior Olympics.

Kara Woulms competed at the AAU Junior Olympics in Greensboro, North Carolina on July 30.

In the 11 to 12-year-old intermediate female division, Woulms placed first in traditional forms, open forms and weapons forms. Woulms won gold in the same three events in 2018.

For the first time this year, Kara’s brother, Evan also competed at the Jr. Olympics in the male 9-10 intermediate division.

Evan placed first in traditional forms and weapons forms. He was second in open forms.

The Woulms’ train under Master Hite at the Indiana Academy of Martial Arts in Greendale.
